SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On April 12, 2010, the Commission received notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to which Oak Hill Capital Partners (Oak Hill), Cinven Limited (Cinven) and funds managed or advised by CVC Capital Partners SICAV-FIS S.A. (CVC) will acquire joint-control in a newly created full function joint venture, Avolon Aerospace Limited (Avolon).
The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:
(a) Oak Hill: management of private equity capital;
(b) Cinven: provision of investment management and advisory services to a number of investment funds;
(c) CVC: advice to and management of investment funds; and
(d) Avolon: provision of aircraft operating leasing services.
