SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 3 February 2021, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 3(1)(b) of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004, by which the PPG group intends to acquire sole control over Tikkurila Oyj, a Finnish company listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange (FI4000008719) and mainly active in the production and sale of decorative coatings.
The PPG group is mainly engaged in the worldwide production and sale of coatings and specialty materials.
