SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 13 February 2017, the Commission received a notification for the acquisition of joint control within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 of Concardis GmbH by funds managed by Advent International Corporation (“Advent”) and funds managed by Bain Capital Investors L.L.C. (“Bain Capital”). Concardis provides merchant acquiring services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Advent and Bain Capital are global private equity investors.
