Description of the concentration

The notified concentration relates to the proposed acquisition by United Group B.V. (NL) of sole control over WIND Hellas (GR).

The business activities of the undertakings concerned are as follows:

United Group is active in the provision of telecom and media services in South East Europe. Since November 2020, United Group is active in Greece and Cyprus via its wholly-owned subsidiary Nova Telecommunication S.M.S.A. (previously Forthnet), a telecommunications operator that provides fixed telephony and fixed broadband services in Greece and pay-TV services in Greece and Cyprus. United Group is ultimately solely controlled by BC Partners LLP, an equity global investment firm.

WIND Hellas is a telecommunications provider headquartered in Athens, Greece. It provides mobile, fixed and internet services as well as, marginally, retail pay-TV services, in Greece.
