SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
The Commission has received notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 3(1)(b) of Council Regulation (EC) N°139/2004, by which funds advised by Intermediate Capital Group plc (“ICG”) will acquire control of CEIT S.p.A and its direct and indirect subsidiaries (“CEIT”).
ICG is a UK-based investment firm, active in the structuring and provision of mezzanine finance, leveraged credit and equity investments in various companies across Europe, Asia Pacific and the US.
CEIT is an Italian network infrastructure works provider, active mostly in the telecommunications sector, and marginally in the transportation and energy sectors. The Target offers a full range of services from design, engineering and installation to maintenance of infrastructure networks, exclusively in Italy.
