Description of the concentration
This notification relates to the proposed acquisition of indirect sole control over Springer Science + Business Media AG by BC European Capital IX, acting by its general partner CIE Management IX. SSBM is currently indirectly controlled by the investment fund EQT V.
SSBM is active in the markets for publishing of academic and professional books and journals in scientific, technical and medical fields. SSBM’s content is also distributed through its content and distribution platform SpringerLink.
BC Partners Limited is a private equity firm which is engaged in the provision of investment management advice to BC private equity funds.
