Description of the concentration

The proposed concentration concerns the acquisition of sole control of Constantia Flexibles GmbH by Wendel S.A. .

Wendel S.A. is a French investment company that invests in companies in various sectors including inter alia verification and certification services, specialty chemicals for leather, telecommunication infrastructure, production, transformation and distribution of building materials, manufacture, production of specialized and patented polymer rigid containers (vials)and distribution of paints and insurance. Wendel S.A. invests for the long term as the majority or leading shareholder in listed or unlisted companies in order to boost their growth and development. Wendel S.A. is headquartered in Paris and is listed on the Paris Stock Market.

Constantia Flexibles GmbH is a global producer of flexible packaging products headquartered in Austria. Its products are mainly based on aluminium (foil), film and paper and the product portfolio includes everyday use products such as food, dairy, pet food, household and personal care products, pharmaceutical and medical products, as well as beverages.
