SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 12 March 2015, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration
pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 139/2004 (the “EUMR”), whereby ARDIAN France SA
(“ARDIAN”) and F2i SGR S.p.A. (“F2i SGR”) will acquire, within the meaning of Article
3(1)(b) of the EUMR, joint control of F2i Aeroporti S.p.A. (“FA”). FA is currently under the
sole control of F2i SGR.
The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:
• for ARDIAN, private equity and asset management activities;
• for F2i SGR, private equity and asset management activities; and
• for FA, holding of investments, either directly or through its subsidiaries, in
companies operating in the airport sector in Italy.
