SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
The present notification concerns a proposed concentration by which the undertakings Autostrade S.p.A. (“Autostrade”, Italy) and SIAS S.p.A. (“SIAS”, Italy), intend to acquire, within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation (EC) N. 139/2004, joint control of the undertaking Sociedad Concesionaria Costanera Norte S.A. (“Costanera”, Chile). The concentration will not produce any effect within the territory of the EEA, since the target is only active in the Chilean market and has no subsidiaries or interests outside Chile.
The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:
-For undertaking Autostrade: management of motorways;
-For undertaking SIAS: management of motorways, construction;
-For undertaking Costanera: management of urban motorway in Chile.
