Description of the concentration

This notification concerns the acquisition by Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG (Vinnolit) of the specialty PVC business of INEOS ChlorVinyls (INEOS CV).

Vinnolit is active in the development, production and global marketing of commodity and specialty PVC as well as the production and supply of all intermediates, such as caustic soda and VCM, and of tin tetrachloride. Its main shareholder is Advent International Corporation, a private equity investment company.

The target business forms part of INEOS, a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, speciality chemicals and oil products, whose headquarters are based in the UK. INEOS CV is mainly active in the production of VCM, PVC, chlorine derivatives and caustic soda.
