SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 31 October 2019, the European Commission received a notification of a Proposed Transaction pursuant to Article 4 EUMR, by which Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A., a wind power company based in Spain, intends to acquire the European onshore servicing business for wind farms of the wind power company Senvion GmbH, including Senvion’s wind turbine blades manufacturing facility located in Vagos (Portugal). The Parties have entered into binding transaction agreements on 21 October 2019.
The notified concentration concerns the markets for onshore wind turbine services in the EEA.
