Description of the concentration
The notified transaction comprises the acquisition of joint control of Kew Green Hotels Limited by Bank of Scotland plc (part of Lloyds Banking Group) and Barclays Bank plc. Bank of Scotland and Barclays are both financial services providers. Kew Green operates 20 hotels across the UK under 5 hotel brands: Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, Days Hotel and Courtyard by Marriott. It also operates Richmond Hill Hotel, a four star hotel in South West London. Kew Green operates exclusively in the UK.
