SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
1.By the notified concentration, Lantmännen ek för and Vapo Oy intend to combine their Swedish and Latvian wood pellets businesses into a combined entity to be jointly owned and controlled by Lantmännen ek för and Vapo Oy.
2.Lantmännen is a Swedish corporate group active within food, energy, machinery and agriculture owned by Swedish farmers. The wood pellets business concerned by the notified concentration is currently carried out by Lantmännen’s subsidiary Agroenergi.
3.Vapo is a Finnish timber, sawmill, and bioenergy company majority owned by the Finnish state. The wood pellets business concerned by the notified concentration is currently carried out by subsidiary Neova.
