SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
The Proposed Concentration involves an investment, by Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (‘CDPQ’) of a 30% stake in the rail transportation business of Bombardier Inc. (‘Bombardier’, and its rail transportation business, ‘BT’). The Proposed Concentration will result in the joint control of BT by Bombardier and CDPQ.
The Proposed Concentration is part of CDPQ’s diversified investment strategy to develop its investments in transport and other infrastructure enterprises as a long term investor.
