SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
1.1. The notified concentration involves the proposed acquisition by a fund managed and advised by Pamplona Capital Management LLP and its affiliates ("Pamplona") of sole control of Partner in Pet Food Holdings, B.V. ("PPF") (the "Proposed Transaction") within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the EU Merger Regulation.
2.2. Pamplona Capital is a global private equity investment firm that provides an alternative investment platform across private equity, fund of hedge funds and single manager hedge fund investments.
3.3. PPF is a private label and branded supplier of industrial pet food. It offers its customers a full range of complete dog and cat pet food products including wet and dry pet food, and snacks and treats.
