SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
Aktiebolaget SKF, Sweden, acquires within the meaning of Article 3 para. 1 subpara. (b) of the Council Regulation No. 139/2004 sole control of SNFA S.A.S., France, by way of an acquisition of the entire issued share capital of SNFA.
The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:
-- SKF: a producer of a broad range of bearings and seals and is also active in related businesses such as lubrication systems. SKF is a public limited company incorporated under Swedish law. It is the holding company of the SKF Group which comprises many subsidiaries worldwide.
-- SNFA: active in the production of ball and roller bearings, with a focus on bearings for machine tool and aerospace applications.
