Description of the concentration

SHV Holdings N.V. (SHV) intends to acquire through a public offer all of the outstanding shares of Nutreco N.V. (Nutreco). With this transaction SHV will acquire sole control of Nutreco.

SHV is a privately held company with a number of operational activities and selected investment activities. SHV is active in energy distribution (SHV Energy), cash-and-carry wholesale (Makro), heavy lifting and transport activities (Mammoet), industrial services (ERIKS), exploration, development and production of oil and gas (Dyas) and private equity (NPM Capital).

Nutreco is the Dutch holding of a group of companies engaged in the business of producing and supplying animal nutrition and fish feed. It offers a wide range of nutritional products serving the needs of fish, poultry, pigs, cattle, sheep and other livestock animals. Nutreco also processes and sells poultry and pig meat. Nutreco is currently listed at the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange.

The market involved is the production and supply of animal nutrition and fish feed.
