SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 11 February 2016; the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 3(1)(b) of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 by which the RPC Group PLC ("RPC") will acquire sole control over Financière Daunou 1 S.A., the holding company of the Global Closure Systems group ("GCS").
Following the concentration GCS' business will be solely controlled by RPC.
The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:
(a) With respect to RPC: the manufacture of rigid plastic packaging and containers across a number of sectors including beverage, food, healthcare and personal care.
(b) With respect to GCS: the manufacture of plastic and metal caps, closures and dispensing systems for a number of sectors including beverage, food, healthcare, personal care, household and industrial, and wine and spirits.
