SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 29 August 2023, the European Commission received notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4, following a referral pursuant to Article 4(5) of the Council Regulation (EC) N° 139/2004 of 20 January 2004 on the control of concentrations between undertakings, by which Jacquet Metals, through its indirect subsidiary International Metal Service group Holding GmbH, intends to acquire sole control of seven companies currently controlled by the Swiss Steel group.
Jacquet Metals is active in the distribution of steel products. The targets are active in the distribution of steel products, in particular carbon steel products and stainless steel products, mainly in Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia.
