The Commission has received notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation 139/2004/EC ("ECMR") by which funds advised and managed by CVC Capital Partners SICAV-FIS S.A. and its subsidiaries and affiliates and investment funds managed affiliates of Apollo Management L.P., acting through affiliates, would acquire within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the ECMR joint control of Brit Insurance Holdings N.V. (the "Target").

The primary business activities of the undertakings concerned are:

(i) for CVC: advice to and management of investment funds;

(ii) for Apollo: advice to and management of investment funds; and

(iii) for the Target: general insurance and reinsurance.
