The proposed concentration consists in the acquisition by Platinum Equity Group ("Platinum") of sole control of the Emerson Network Power business ("ENP") from Emerson Electric Co.("EMR").
Platinum specializes in the merger, acquisition and operation of companies that provide services and solutions to customers in a broad range of businesses, including information technology, telecommunications, logistics, metal services, manufacturing and distribution.
ENP is active in the provision of power, thermal, and infrastructure management products and related services worldwide. Power management products include critical power systems and uninterruptible power systems, which provide back-up, voltage regulation, distribution and consistent energy for customers’ vital applications. Thermal management products provide energy efficient, reliable and cost-effective management of environmental conditions in mission-critical facilities. Infrastructure management and solutions consist of comprehensive data center infrastructure resource management systems, and involve both software and ГТ appliances. ENP sells to three primary markets: large scale data centres (e.g. Facebook, Microsoft), communications networks (e.g. Deutsche Telekom, China Mobile) and critical environments (e.g national grid operators and hospitals).
