SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 31 March 2009, the Commission received notification of a proposed concentration
pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) 139/2004 by which the undertaking
Bridgepoint Capital Group Limited, through Bridgepoint Capital (Holdings), proposes
to acquire, within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Regulation, sole control of
Hermes Private Equity Directs Limited, by way of purchase of shares.
The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:
(i) For Bridgepoint Capital Group Limited: a private equity company which
invests in companies active in various sectors.
(ii) For Hermes Private Equity Directs Limited: manager and advisor to a number
of companies active in various sectors.
The transaction will not have an appreciable effect on any market.
