Description of the concentration

3i Group plc and a group of funds managed by 3i intend to acquire sole control over Azelis S.A.

Azelis S.A., a public limited company (sociÈtÈ anonyme) established under the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is active in the field of speciality chemicals distribution throughout Europe. Its operations are focused on a broad range of products including life sciences, coatings, polymers and chemical industries.

3i is a private equity and venture capital company focussing on buyouts, growth capital and venture capital with investments across Europe and further investments in the United States and Asia. 3i has its headquarters in London and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The principal activities of 3i are the making of investments, the management of third party investments and the provision of management advice.
