SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 10 March 2021, the European Commission received a notification pursuant to Article 4 of the Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (“EU Merger Regulation”), by which Continental AG (Germany) will indirectly acquire sole control over the light control units business of OSRAM Continental GmbH (“Target Business”) within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the EU Merger Regulation through the acquisition of shares and/or assets.
Continental AG is an international technology company which mainly manufactures and supplies various components and spare parts, notably for the automotive industry.
The Target Business consists of the light control units business of OSRAM Continental GmbH. Light control units are used to control automotive lighting systems.
