( Interim relief – Rectification of the contested acts – No need to adjudicate )

In Case T‑86/25 R,

Maurice Taylor,

residing in Vessy (Switzerland), represented by A. Carreri, F. Donati and M. Dal Prà, lawyers,

applicant,

Council of the European Union,

represented by E. Nadbath and N. Rouam, acting as Agents,

defendant,

makes the following

2By his application under Articles 278 and 279 TFEU, the applicant, Mr Maurice Taylor, seeks suspension of the operation of Council Decision (CFSP) 2024/3182 of 16 December 2024 amending Decision 2014/145/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine (OJ L 2024/3182) and Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3183 of 16 December 2024 implementing Regulation (EU) No 269/2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine (OJ L 2024/3183) (together, ‘the contested acts’), in so far as those acts concern him.

4By application lodged at the Registry of the General Court on 6 February 2025, the applicant brought an action for annulment of the contested acts.

53

6By separate document lodged at the Court Registry on the same day, the applicant made the present application for interim measures.

8On 7 February 2025, the Council of the European Union published corrigenda to the contested acts in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ L 2025/90120 and OJ L 2025/90119).

10As a result of the publication of those corrigenda, the applicant’s name is no longer mentioned in the contested acts.

12In its observations on the application for interim measures, lodged at the Court Registry on 20 February 2025, the Council contends that the President of the General Court should find that there is no longer any need to adjudicate on that application or, in the alternative, dismiss that application as inadmissible or, in the further alternative, dismiss that application as unfounded.

137

14In that regard, it should be observed that the publication of the corrigenda to the contested acts, by which the applicant’s name is no longer mentioned in those acts, renders the application for interim measures devoid of purpose irrespective of whether the action which gave rise to Case T‑86/25, Taylor v Council, retains its purpose.

16Thus, in the light of the publication of the corrigenda to the contested acts, it must be held that the present application for interim measures has become devoid of purpose and that there is no longer any need to adjudicate on it.

179

18Under Article 158(5) of the Rules of Procedure of the General Court, the costs are to be reserved.

On those grounds,

hereby orders:

1.There is no longer any need to adjudicate on the application for interim measures.

2.The costs are reserved.

Luxembourg, 4 April 2025.
