SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 10 September 2019, the Commission received a notification for the acquisition of joint control within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 of TAG PIPELINES SUR, S. DE R.L. DE C.V. ("TAG South") by Brookfield Asset Management Inc. ("Brookfield") and ENGIE S.A. ("ENGIE").
Brookfield provides asset management services, focused on real estate, infrastructure, renewable power and private equity. ENGIE operates in the fields of energy transition, electricity generation and distribution, natural gas, nuclear, renewable energy and Petroleum.
TAG South is active in the business of transportation of natural gas through pipelines in Mexico and does not have any activities in Europe.
