Description of the concentration
The notified transaction consists in the acquisition of joint control over Aviva S.p.A. by CNP Assurances S.A. and UniCredit S.p.A..
CNP Assurances S.A. develops, provides and manages insurance products globally. In Italy, CNP is mainly active in the provision of life insurance products.
UniCredit S.p.A. is the Italian parent company of a banking group providing banking and financial services in Italy and in a number of EU Member States and non-EU countries.
Aviva S.p.A. is an insurance company currently belonging to the Aviva Plc’s group that provides life insurance products in Italy.
