Opinion of the Advocate-General

Mr Advocate General Tesauro delivered his Opinion on 27 June 1990 . (*) He proposed that the Court should rule as follows :

Article 71(1)(b)(ii ) of Regulation ( EEC ) No 1408/71 must be interpreted as applying in the case where a worker accepts employment in another Member State for some two years, where he obtains that employment under a university exchange scheme which normally limits the duration of the employment at the outset and where the work of the person concerned is interrupted by long holiday periods which the worker spends in accommodation he retained in his State of origin .
