SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
The Proposed Transaction concerns the acquisition of the business and all operative assets of the insolvent Plastal Germany by Faurecia. In addition, Faurecia acquired an unilateral option regarding the acquisition of all shares in Plastal Spain S.A. and/or Plastal S.A.S. (France).
Faurecia is a French company quoted on the Paris stock exchange. Faurecia is active worldwide in automotive equipment engineering and production, in particular vehicle seating, interiors, front-ends and exhaust systems.
The target is active in automotive equipment engineering and production, in particular bumpers, front-end carriers, as well as other plastic components for the automotive industry.
The transaction will not give raise to any significant antitrust concerns. It is welcomed by OEMs being both Faurecia’s and Plastal’s customers.
