On 23 January 2020, the European Commission received a notification for a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 139/2004, by which ENGIE S.A. and EDP Renováveis, S.A., acquire joint control over EDPR Offshore Espana S.L.U.
EDPR Offshore Espana S.L.U. would be the exclusive vehicle of both parties for offshore wind farm activities worldwide.
• ENGIE S.A.: An industrial company, headquartered in France, and active in the fields of gas, electricity and energy services.
• EDP Renováveis, S.A.: A renewable energy subsidiary of EDP Group, headquartered in Spain, which business consists in developing, building and operating wind farms and solar plants throughout the world.
EDPR Offshore Espana S.L.U.: A subsidiary of EDP Group, headquartered in Spain, which will be the exclusive vehicle of ENGIE S.A. and EDP Renováveis, S.A. for offshore wind farm activities worldwide.
