SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
1.The notification relates to the proposed acquisition of joint control within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 by The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (“Goldman Sachs”) and TPG LundyCo, L.P. (“TPG Lundy”) of Britannia Living Group Limited (“Britannia”).
2.Goldman Sachs is a global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of services worldwide to a diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and high-net-worth individuals.
3.TPG Lundy is part of the TPG Group, a global private investment firm that manages a family of funds that invest in a variety of companies through acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
4.Britannia is a UK distributor of cooking appliances, cooker hoods and cooking accessories.
