SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
The notification relates to the joint acquisition and operation of the transmission network for the Hornsea One offshore windfarm (the OFTO Business).
The OFTO Business will indirectly be acquired by DTUK, a subsidiary of DTC (ultimately owned by MC) and Infrastructure Investments OFTO 2 Limited (IIO2), through the joint venture Diamond Transmission Partners Hornsea Two (Holdings) Limited (the JV). IIO2 is an investment vehicle ultimately controlled by Sun Life Financial Inc. through Infrared Capital Partners Limited.
Through a joint bidding consortium the JV's parents were selected as the preferred bidder relating to the OFTO Business. The JV will be entered into in order to deliver the successful bid.
