SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
(1) The Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004, by which Access Industries group (“Access”) will acquire sole control over Warner Music Group Corp. (“WMG”) via a special purpose merger vehicle.
(2) The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:
• For Access: holding companies that hold interests principally in the natural resources and chemicals, telecommunications and media, and real estate sectors.
• For WMG: recorded music, music publishing, including the marketing and sale of recorded music and the licensing of music publishing rights.
