SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 12 June 2020, the European Commission received the notification of the proposed concentration pursuant to Council Regulation (EC) 139/2004 by which Saudi Aramco Development Company (Saudi Arabia), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Arabia), and Raytheon Saudi Arabia (Saudi Arabia), a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of the Raytheon Technologies Corporation (United States), will acquire joint control over Middle East Cyber Services Company Limited, a full-function joint venture company to be established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The joint venture will provide and market cybersecurity products and services to customers in Saudi Arabia and, potentially, the Middle East and North Africa region.
