SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On 7 November 2006, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) 139/2004 whereby General Electric Company ("GE", USA) acquires sole control within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the EC Merger Regulation over Diskont und Kredit AG and Disko Leasing GmbH (together "Disko Group", Germany) and ASL Auto Service-Leasing GmbH ("ASL", Germany). Disko Group and ASL are currently controlled by KG Allgemeine Leasing GmbH & Co.
The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:
-ï For GE: diversified technology and services.
-ï For Disko Group: equipment finance.
-ï For ASL: fleet leasing and management services.
