SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
1.1.1 This notification relates to the proposed acquisition by Reckitt Benckiser plc of the entire issued and to be issued share capital of SSL International plc by way of a public offer.
1.1.2 Reckitt Benckiser is active worldwide in the manufacture and sale of home care, health and personal care products, and food.
1.1.3 SSL is primarily active in the health and personal care sector.
1.1.4 The only appreciable competitive overlap between the business activities of Reckitt Benckiser and SSL is limited principally to certain OTC pharmaceutical products in the UK and Ireland.
