SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
On November 14, 2022, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004. The proposed transaction involves the acquisition of sole control of Micro Focus International plc (“Micro Focus”) by Open Text Corporation (“OpenText”). OpenText is a publicly-listed company incorporated under the laws of Canada and headquartered in Ontario, Canada. OpenText is a provider of information management products and services. Micro Focus is a publicly-listed company incorporated in England and Wales and headquartered in Newbury, United Kingdom. Micro Focus is a provider of enterprise software.
