SECTION 1.2
Description of the concentration
(1) The proposed concentration concerns the acquisition of sole control by AXA Konzern AG, Germany (“AXA”) over ROLAND Rechtsschutzversicherungs-AG (“ROLAND”).
(2) AXA is a German insurance holding company and part of the AXA Group, a worldwide player in insurance and asset management. AXA’s German subsidiaries are active in the provision of life, health and other forms of insurance, as well as asset management and reinsurance services.
(3) ROLAND is a German insurance company that is mainly active in the provision of legal protection insurances, accident and breakdown insurances and assistance services.
